2nd anniversary of BibekSheel Nepali

Saturday afternoon (11th June 2016) marked the 2nd anniversary of BibekSheel Nepali. On that opportune occasion, Sunil Karmacharya, Yam Bahadur Chhetri and I went to BibekSheel Nepali. By now, many probably know about BibekSheel Nepali and its humanitarian and youth empowering efforts. If you don’t here is a little backdrop. Fronted by one of my close friends, Ujwal Thapa, BibekSheel Nepali is a rising political party of Nepal, built by the youths and lead by them.

It was a day well spent. I got to meet Ujwal after a long time. He is not only a visionary politician but one of the founding members of WordPress Nepal. We caught up on each other’s lives. He also introduced me to some of his team members, other young visionaries, who believe youths are the driving force to a better Nepal. By now, we all believe the same.

As a part of the event, they made available their final reports where I could see two years’ tenure success. They have quite a few achievements under their name in such a short span of time. Their future plans also looked promising as they are striving to train and develop the youths of our country, and empower them aiming for a systematic and transparent government system.

I would like to congratulate them on their success and pray for their longevity. I will be more than happy to lend a helping hand for their social and noble causes.

Here are some photos from that day.

Hello. My name is Sakin Shrestha, and I am a technology entrepreneur from Nepal. I am passionate about helping this sector grow, for many reasons. The technology sector creates jobs for many young Nepalis who would otherwise migrate to foreign countries. It lets Nepali professionals develop skills for a fast-changing global workplace, and compete at a high level with anyone, anywhere in the world. If it grows, it will provide a viable career option for many young Nepalis, and help us reap the benefits of a global economy.
