Happy 15th Birthday WordPress!!!
So, it was WordPress’ 15th Birthday last Sunday and we had to celebrate this happy occasion. The WordPress Kathmandu Community had planned a WordPress 15th Anniversary Celebration in the capital. I was very excited to attend the celebration as WordPress has changed my life so drastically.
I am truly thankful to WordPress for everything it has provided me. For me, WordPress isn’t only a software or an application, it is my career and my future. The businesses that I run today are either on or because of the WordPress platform. My latest venture, Catch Wheels was initiated through WordPress as well. And not only that, my other ventures, such as DevotePress and NepalBuzz were also built in WordPress. So, basically, I have been using WordPress to build a product or sell WordPress products through Catch Themes, Catch Plugins and Theme Palace.
I see WordPress as my career and I honestly cannot imagine what I would be doing if WordPress was not to exist. Of course, I would be involved in other businesses as I am from the Management background. However, I still am clueless on what I would be doing if WordPress was not there at all. WordPress has played a vital role in my life and is a very important part of me now. This is one of the many reasons why I was very excited and wanted to attend the WordPress 15th Birthday Celebration.
Even though I had a pretty tight schedule that day, I wanted to celebrate our WordPress’ birthday, so I attended the WordPress 15th Birthday Celebration that was organized by the WordPress Kathmandu community. And since I have been into vlogging for quite some time now, I wanted to vlog the celebration. So, I have compiled a short video of us celebrating the birthday and enjoying the moment. You can watch the video on my YouTube Channel or for your easiness, here is the video of WordPress 15th Anniversary Celebration by WordPress Kathmandu.
The birthday party was held at Yellow Pomelo, Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. It was a great choice for a small get-together like this. We celebrated the 15th birthday with a big cake and some light refreshments. There were many known as well as new faces at the birthday celebration. The event gave everyone an opportunity to know each other a little better. There were 15th Anniversary balloons, stickers, and WordPress badges to give away as well.
So, I’d say the event was a fun and informative celebration; much more like a casual event. We enjoyed the cake, the refreshments, and the networking opportunity, of course.
To everyone reading my blog today, you need to dive into the WordPress world if you haven’t already or thinking about starting your career in the Information Technology field. WordPress has a lot to provide for sure.
Once again, I want to wish a very Happy Belated 15th Birthday to our most-loved CMS, WordPress. Let’s keep it growing!
