Government slashes royalty on climbing permit

Good News for Mountain Climber, now you can climb top of the world and other beautiful mountains of Nepal in lot cheaper price then before. As Nepal government slashed the royalty charges of climbing Mount Everest and other peaks to attract more mountaineers to the country

Officials at the tourism ministry said the royalty for claiming Everest has been slashed by 75 per cent during winter and summer seasons and 50 percent during the autumn season.

However, the royalty for the spring season, which is Everest’s busiest season, will remain the same, but the number of people allowed on a 70,000-dollar-permit will be raised to 15 from 12.

Prices for permits on other 326 peaks over 5,500 metres that are open for climbing have been slashed on a similar basis, officials said.
